It was another twenty minutes before we showed up at my brother and Kaylee's door. I was dressed in jeans and a simple grey v neck shirt, and Kate had swung by her apartment and thrown on a white and baby blue gingham linen dress. It's straps tied at the shoulders in little bows and the dress was to her knees, but she looked so fucking hot in it when she'd walked out of her apartment that I haven't taken my fuckin hands off her since. 

She's laughing quietly as I nuzzle her neck and whisper filthy shit into her ear as we wait for Kaylee or Brian to answer the door. I bite her neck playfully and then she pushes at my chest as the door opens, her still laughing and me smirking as Kaylee opens the door a hand on her hip, glaring at me, trying to be mad. She looks to Kate and then to me, and back at Kate. 

"You guys only get a pass this ONE time" she says and I smile. 

"Sorry Kay, I honesty had forgotten, and then this one here wouldn't let me out of bed after you called." I say pointing to Kate as she sways my hand and scoffs. 

"Not true." she argues and Kaylee rolls her eyes with a little smile. 

"I knew you two were gonna end up making babies" she says shaking her head and stepping aside as Kate laughs and I gesture for her to walk in first, and I follow her.

"Smells good" I say. Kate hums and nods in agreement as Kaylee sighs. 

"Yeah, well, you're lucky I had gotten a late start to it this morning." she says and I smile. 

"I really am sorry Kaylee" I say placing a hand on her shoulder and she rolls her eyes. 

"yeah, yeah, I know" she says and then Brian looks up from sitting on a stool at the high counter in the middle of their kitchen. Their place wasn't much bigger than mine or Kate's but they did have slightly bigger living area and kitchen, which for two people made sense. 

Brian stands and greets me with a hug, then nods to Kate and pulls her in for one as well. 

I give a little smile at her stunned reaction and walk over to the coffee pot and pour us each a mug, then carry them back as Kate looks at the plethora of breakfast food already on the center island in the kitchen, as Kaylee pulls other things out of the oven. 

"You do this EVERY weekend?" Kate asks in amazement. 

"Mhm" Kaylee says. "It's our little tradition, and these two WILL make sure all of it gets eaten." she says of me and my brother. 

Kate laughs. "It's so much food!" she laughs still in disbelief and I stand behind her, sliding our mugs of coffee onto the counter as I reach around her and dip my head down and kiss the back of her neck. She turns slightly and smiles and I lift my hand to the back of her neck, holding her at the nape of it, and I watch the heat in her eyes as I hold my hand there posessively and she bites her lip. 

"Alright you two, calm down." my brother teases me. 

Kate jerks slightly and blushes as she shrugs my hand off her and I smile as I let it slip down her back, to the small of it, resting it there. 

"You better be hungry." I tell her as we look at the food.

"I'm starving." she says as I pull up a stool for her, then sit at the end of the counter. Her next to my brother, and Kaylee at the other end of the island. 

"So, you two are together?" My brother asks, getting straight to it, as he piles a plate with food, and hands it to Kaylee, while I do the same, and hand it to Kate. She smiles. 

"We are." I say as I wink at Kate and she fights a smile, biting her lips together. 

"What's so charming about this asshole?" my brother says. 

"Brian" Kaylee says with a little huff. But Brian just laughs and so do I . 

"He just....is." Kate says. 

"Tell them the truth." I tease Kate. Her eyes widening as she forks a piece of fruit into her mouth and shakes her head. 

"The truth about what?" Kaylee asks and Brian, my brother raises his brow in interest. 

"Don't you dare" Kate says and kicks me under the table. 

"Oh come on...it's funny." I say with a smirk as Kate turns red. 

"No it's not!" she says and kicks me again.

"Ow" I laugh and watch her try to avoid my brother and Kaylee's now curious stares.

"Oh come on, now you have to tell us."Brian says. 

"Leave her alone" Kaylee says, and she nudges Brian, and he laughs slightly. 

"Come on, it's not really a story we can tell the grandchildren." I say to Kate and she rolls her eyes. "So let's share it with them. Tell them how we met Kate" I say, daring her to expose herself as the peeping Kate she was that night. 

"We already know how you met." Brian says. "We were THERE" he says. 

I poke my tongue in my cheek, smirking at Kate. 

"Is that true Kate...is that the first time you saw me? On the sidewalk?" I tease her and she covers her face. 

"God, I hate you" she growls and I laugh and smile, amused by her constant blush and her angry little glare she's giving me as she sighs and sits her hands in her lap. 

Brian is laughing, and Kaylee is pretending to not be amused, but I know she is. 

"so...when you invited me to go out with you guys that night....I was getting ready in my room, and..you know...I just moved in...i didnt have curtains or anything...so....whatever" she says and I smile, as she looks at me and I can't help the fucking giant smirk on my face as she confesses. 

"Well I was done getting dressed, left my room, but then as soon as I turned off my light...another light had come on...from across the way, and caught my attention." she says and I lick my lips, enjoying how pink her cheeks are right now, and how hot she looks all embarassed and shameful for her little peeping eyes. 

"So I walk over ...and there he is." she gestures to me. I smile and sit up and cross my arms and puff my chest and she rolls her eyes. 

"He'll make it seem like I WAS THE ONE being a pervert, but HE is the one that has lived there forever, and didnt have HIS curtains drawn." she says eyeing me and I grin. 

"Oh god" Kaylee giggles and covers her mouth, Brian is laughing. 

"So..before I can take my eyes away from the sight of the half naked man in the towel...he....he fucking drops it." she says. 

"Oh god" Kaylee stiffles a laugh. 

My brother throws his head back with a laugh. 

"Then you REALLY couldnt take your eyes of me, could ya ?"  I tease her and she scowls. 

"Youre such a dick." she mutters.

"Exactly why you couldnt take your eyes of me" I wink. 

She reaches over and slaps my arm playfully and I laugh, my brother and Kaylee enjoying the story. 

"Who does that?!" Kate squeaks. "Who undresses in front of their window like that. It's like you WANTED someone to catch you." she says.

"Then, anyways...I turn away."  she says.

"Wait wait....that's after I caught you looking you little peeping pervert." I remind her and she lets out a little growl, but I can tell she's also holding back her laughter. 

"First of all, I was not peeping, you were standing there in front of your window naked, anyone could have seen you!" she argues. 

"But you were the lucky one." I wink at her and she slaps my arm again. 

"So wait...you're telling me...when he came down....and we introduced you..you'd already seen my brother naked?" Brian asks laughing. 

Kate nods. "uh huh." 

"And he was a total dick to me for it too!" Kate says. "Like it was MY fault!" 

I laugh. "Then she got drunk, grew some balls and called me out later in the night." I smile at her. 

"Then wanders her ass into my bar looking for a job the next day" I tease her. 

"Such a little stalker." I wink and she gives me the finger, making all of us laugh. 

"After giving her a job...she decided to dump a pitcher of beer in a patrons lap...on purpose." I say and Kate growls. 

"She had it coming!" she argues. 

I chuckle. 

"Wait!" Kaylee squeals. 

"You're the bartender that dumped the beer on Natalie?!" Kaylee asks excitedly, her eyes wide. 

Brian laugh. "Oh shit." he reaches over and grabs her shoulder, giving her a little shake. 

"Good for you, thank god someone served that witch something she deserved" he says. 

"Oh god, the girls at the shop were talking about it, I had no idea it was you" Kaylee laughs and sits up in her stool, reaches over the table to high five Kate , who laughs, and collects her high five from Kaylee. 

"So yeah.." I say. "That's what had me sold on her." 

Kate lifts her eyes and smiles. 

"I could overlook a pretty little pervert peeping on me, if she also had my back." I say. 

she rolls her eyes. "Screw you, im not a peeping pervert." 

"mhm, sure babe, whatever you say" I taunt her. 

"Shut up and eat something." she says and gestures to my plate and I laugh. 

"So, you're moving to Washington for good?" Brian asks her and I clear my throat. 

"We're taking things day by day. She just got here, we're not worrying about what happens a year from now." I say and Kate licks her lips and nods. 

"Yeah." she agrees and my brother cocks his brow and so does Kaylee, and Kate doesnt see it, as she shuffled her scrambled eggs on her plate. But just like Parker, and all my other friends who knew me, they knew that when I was interested in a woman. That I was not just interested, but I was invested. Their eyes were already asking me, what happens when she goes back to Cali? What happens when neither of you wants to move? Will you give up your life here to go with her? Will you leave the bar? Your friends? Your family? 

I give them a subtle shake of my head, with a smile. Because, I truly wasn't worried about any of that yet. I enjoyed Kate. Being around her, talking to her, and yes, fucking her. We were dating, that's all it was right now. It didnt matter that I already wanted to lock her down and keep her right here with me forever. It didnt matter that my mind WAS actually worrying about a year from now, knowing I'd never let her leave, never let her walk away from me. But I couldnt let my worries for the future, ruin what we had right now. which was the start of something new, and fun, and she made me laugh, and was already making me happier than Id been in a long fuckin time. It didnt hurt, that she fucked like a dirty little thing either. 

We'd finished breakfast, and the girls sat and talked while Brian showed me the new computer setup he got for his gaming. I wasnt much of a gamer, but I had to admit the setup was pretty fucking cool.

"so...what's this one day at a time shit?" he asks. 

"Hmm?" I ask looking from the computers to him. 

"I know you...you're already in love with her...look at you...you dopey fuck.." he teases. "Youre all love drunk on the chick already" 

I laugh and shake my head. 

I couldnt help it. It was always my strength, as well as my weakness. I fucking loved easily. I cared about people easily. Up until the bomb that Natalie, my ex dropped, on sleeping around on me, I'd even trusted people easily.  After her, I promised I'd never trust anyone like that again. But with Kate....i just did. Everything with her, just came easily. The caring about her part. Having the need to fix her car, to give her the job, to help her furnish her apartment. I realized I trusted her when she dumped that beer in Natalie's lap.  I was a good guy, I always knew I was a good guy. And part of me had believed that Natalie had ruined that for me, ruined the good parts of me. 

Then Kate showed up, and it was like all those parts came back to me so easily. She was a fucking little ray of pain in my ass sunshine. 

"You do..you fuckin love her." Brian says. 

"Knock it off." I say and shove him and then walk back into the hall.

"Hey" Brian says, and I stop, turning. 

"Just, be careful bro, that's all Im saying. Not that I dont think she's good for you, just...you know..I dont want to see you go through that shit again." he says and I nod and smile. 

"Appreciate it. Thanks." I say with a simply nod, clap my hand on his shoulder, pulling him in for a hug. 

As we walk out and Kate peeks up from something Kaylee is showing her in one of the ads. She gives me a crooked little grin and winks at me and then looks back down. 

"Shit." Brian says. "I have to ask.." he says keeping his voice down as we stand in the living room. 

"How is the sex?" he whispers and I jerk my head to him and glare at him. 

"Oh come on, like you never asked about Kaylee and me when we first got together." he says and I roll my eyes. 

"Let's just say, you mention the fact you're thinking about how she fucks ever again, and I dont care that you're my brother, I will knock your fucking teeth out." I say with a warning. 

"Daaaamn, alright...that fuckin good then huh? Geeze, im just being brotherly and making sure she's taking care of my brothers needs" he says and I shake my head, and give a little laugh.

"She's perfect. In every fucking way." I say. 

"geeze, alright man, no need to go rubbing it in." he says joking, even though I know he's not jealous, he's a fucking fool over Kaylee, as he should be, because she was a good girl. Kate looks up at me again and I smirk as she cocks her head slightly with a little smile.

"you ready to go?" I ask as I walk over and stand behind her, slipping my arms around her shoulders. 

"dont steal her from me yet!" Kaylee whines. 

"We're looking at things for the apartment" Kate says and I groan. 

"I need to go into the restaurant soon" I say, hinting that I want her again before going to work. 

"Okay, bye" Kaylee says. "I'll return her to you at the end of the day." she says with a smile. 

Kate looks at me, giving me a knowing smile. 

"I'll be back in thirty." she tells Kaylee who rolls her eyes. 

"You two disgust me." she scoffs with a little smile, then waves us off. 

"Alright, get out, get on with it then. THIRTY minutes, dont make me wait!" she squeals as I pull Kate from their apartment and to the elevator.
